Gayatris brother Madhav is
a lawyer and he becomes Purshottams main advisor on all matters. Purshottam refuses
to listen to any other advise often which becomes very frustrating for Krishen and Vikram,
but they do learn to manipulate him so that they get their way.
Vikram has two children. A son
Rahul and daughter Pinky. Jaya brings both up to be as selfish and self centred as
herself. Vikram barely has time for his family because while Purshottam takes policy
decisions, Vikram does all the work. Of course based on Krishens philosophies.
Vikrams relationship with Aparna is of high regard. He knows Bhenji inside out, but
has deep love for her. He is extremely fond of Goldie, whom he has employed to look after
household affairs. He likes Pakhi and feels totally responsible for Pallavi.
Krishen is Vikrams mentor
and guide. Although Purshottam and Vikram try to share their luxuries with Krishen,
Krishen is very practical. He does not take advantage of their generosity. He lives a
simple life in a simple home. His children Meera and Arjun both feel that their father has
been exploited by the rich family. Meera loves her father too much to rebel against him
openly but her actions speak louder then her words. Arjun rebels. He hurt his father . He
blames him for being unsuccessful and not being able to give his family enough.
He is terribly complexed with
Rahul and Pakhi who are around the same age group as himself and tries to ape them. He
starts earning money through wrong methods to maintain his lifestyle. He is ashamed of
showing his friends his home or revealing his background to them.
Pakhi has a boy friend Gautam
Dutt. Gautam comes from a rich background but his fathers business is competitive to
theirs. Gautams father Akshay Dutt uses his sons affair with Pakhi to ruin
Vikrams work.
